…And we feel fine. Well, we are one appendix lighter but very soon we will be two children heavier. For those of you that do not know, Alisha’s appendix was unexpectedly removed two weeks ago. I think the doctors were going to try to schedule a surgery instead of removing it that instant – that is, until they heard we were going to Nepal in three weeks! Good thing they did though as it turned out to be a particularly “angry” appendix. She is doing very well and is making a full recovery.

Shanti at Sagarmatha Children’s Home

Yep, that’s right, we are leaving for Nepal to pick up Shanti and Sandeep on Monday the 27th and will be arriving in Nepal on the 29th.

Our return flight is currently scheduled for the 9th of January, so consider this blog entry your Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all rolled into one!
These pictures were recently sent to us from a friend of a friend that just visited the children’s home. As you can see they both look great!

Sandeep & Manoj

Of course we will be making regular blog entries while we are there, but we are not sure what hotel we will be in so we are not sure what the internet access will be like. Keep your eyes peeled for some email from us in the next few weeks with updates from abroad. Thanks to everyone for all their love, support and offers of help. We are very excited and stressed but we understand that is how most parents-to-be are, so hopefully we are right on track.
